The Consumer Products Test Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our products. This involves rigorous testing and validation of physical prototypes and manufactured samples throughout the product development lifecycle. The technician will also conduct research to understand customer sentiment towards our products and those of competitors. Key responsibilities include building test environments, creating comprehensive test plans, meticulously documenting test results, and collaborating with the engineering team to analyze findings and recommend improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for technical problem-solving, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
Job Responsibilities:
Product Testing & Validation- Conduct comprehensive testing of prototypes and product samples, including functional, performance, quality, and user experience evaluations.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, ensuring alignment with product requirements and industry standards.
- Build and maintain test environments that accurately simulate real-world usage scenarios.
- Meticulously document test results, observations, and any identified issues.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to analyze test findings and recommend design or process improvements.
- Manage sample inventory via labeling, record-keeping, location tracking, and status updates to support both a clean and organized work environment as well as a streamlined and efficient process.
- Research and analyze customer feedback and reviews for our products and those of competitors.
- Identify trends, pain points, and areas for improvement in user experience.
- Conduct comparative analyses to benchmark our products against industry standards.
- Present findings and recommendations to the product development team.

- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance product quality, performance, and user satisfaction.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, testing methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of internal testing processes and procedures.
- Support data and information tracking for various processes within the Engineering or Product Support teams, such as technical product specifications, CAD model versions, patents, etc.
- Assist Engineering and Product Support teams with daily operations as needed.
